ALUMILASTIC resists weather degradation from exposures to UV, moisture, and heat. It cures to a tough sealing compound with excellent adhesion properties. ALUMILASTIC forms a bright aluminum appearance with a flexible surface. This sealing compound provides its own protection and does not require painting or other surface treatment. It prevents water leakage, eliminates rust and corrosion and their resulting stains, provides air- and dust-tight joints and maintains a seal despite flexing, torsion and racking. It prevents squeaks and noise between metal parts, resists galvanic action between dissimilar metals, and compensates for parts that do not mesh or fit together exactly.
ALUMILASTIC provides effective protection from -20°F to 180°F in moist or dry atmospheres with intermittent exposures to 250°F. It is formulated to meet Federal Specification TT-C-598B. It is available in different consistencies; for extrusion or trowel application.

PRODUCT USES
ALUMILASTIC is an environmentally friendly, general purpose sealing compound that can be used with all metals. It can be applied by hand or power gun, trowel or stiff brush. It adheres well to all types of clean, oiland
dust-free surfaces. Because of its inherent UV resistance, it can be used as a top dressing for other sealants that are subject to UV degradation. ALUMILASTIC should not be used in joints that will open and close in use. It is a sealant with a great ability to be flexed and twisted, but will not tolerate constant stretching. Do not use on porous substrates without priming. If desired, it can be painted within a week of application.
